Application

For best results, remove old gasket material and thoroughly clean and dry the mating surfaces before application.

Apply a continuous, even bead to one surface, surrounding bolt holes where required. Assemble components while the silicone is still wet and follow the component manufacturer's recommended tightening procedure.

Permatex Ultra Blue becomes tack-free in approximately two hours and fully cures in approximately 24 hours under normal conditions. Cure time may vary depending on temperature, humidity and joint thickness.

Important Application Notes

Permatex Ultra Blue maintains effective sealing properties when exposed to common automotive fluids including engine oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze and alcohol.

Not recommended for components in direct contact with gasoline.
