Application

For best results, ensure all mating surfaces are clean, dry and free from old gasket material, oil and contamination.

Apply an even, continuous bead of Ultra Copper to the required sealing surface, surrounding bolt holes where applicable. Assemble components according to the manufacturer's recommended procedure.

The product becomes tack-free in approximately one hour and fully cures in approximately 24 hours under normal conditions. Temperature, humidity and joint thickness can affect curing time.

Important Application Notes

Permatex Ultra Copper is resistant to many common automotive fluids, including engine oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze and alcohol.

Not recommended for parts that are in contact with gasoline.
