Application

For best results, thoroughly remove old gasket material and ensure mating surfaces are clean and dry before application.

Apply a continuous, even bead of Ultra Grey to one surface, surrounding all bolt holes. Assemble components immediately while the silicone is still wet.

Finger tighten until material begins to squeeze around the flange. Allow approximately one hour before tightening an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

Under normal conditions, the silicone will fully cure in approximately 24 hours. Additional curing time may be required in cold or very dry conditions.

Important Application Notes

Permatex Ultra Grey is designed for formed-in-place gasket applications and can also be used as a dressing with suitable pre-cut gaskets.

Not recommended for use as a cylinder head gasket or head gasket sealant.

Not recommended for components in direct contact with gasoline.
